3.) This is the directory window, it lists all the drives and partitions your phone may have. Clicking the triangle as shown below will expand your views, making navigation possible.

Ok First thing is first! Let’s get Moto4lin up and going!!

STEP ONE:

Make sure your phone is set to Data/FAX mode and NOT connected to your Mac yet.



Open Moto4linConfigurator. Follow the onscreen instructions. Please note that when it asks you to plug your phone in you will want to wait a good 10 seconds BEFORE clicking the continue button. Follow the onscreen instructions, when finished Moto4linConfigurator will have Automatically configured Moto4lin to work with your phone.



Open up Moto4lin,

Press the “Connect/Disconnect” button. If you see messages about phone busy, don’t worry this is normal. Wait about 5 seconds, does the status say connected on the bottom of Moto4lin’s window? If not wait about 20 seconds, and hit the connect button again. If you still don’t have a connection unplug your phone, restart it, quit Moto4lin, and re-open it and try again. Press the connect/disconnect button. Moto4lin can be cranky to get going, but once you do it’s good. You may have to try the connect a few times.

Moto4lin is pretty simple to use. Most of the functions on Moto4lin are self explanatory. You should now have the info needed to perform simple data-back ups, as well as how to upload files to your phone. Lets touch a little on Seem Editing.



USING THE SEEM EDITOR

Now That we have our phones connected to Moto4lin, lets take a look at Moto4lin’s interface!

1.) FileManager Mode, this is what you will want to click first.

2.) Click update List to view a list of your phone’s contents.

4.) This is the main window viewer. clicking on the items in this window will highlight (select) them. You can then perform the according actions: Download, which will download or copy your selected files from your phone to wherever you specify on your computer. Upload, which will prompt you to browse your computer for files you wish to upload to your phone. Be very careful when uploading data to your phone, make sure you take a look at your directory window, and verify you are uploading your files to the correct section of your phone!!
