This guide will show you step by step how to obtain and use Moto4lin on your mac (No Pc’s Needed!)
You will then be taken into the wild world of Motorola Phone Modding on the Mac!!! If you are new to the mac and/or motorola phone Modding this guide is for you!
By the end of this guide, you will be ready to install itunes and perform modifications to your Motorola Slvr Phone
You will need a few things before you can start your modifications to your slvr phone. First off you will need a USB cable I will assume you have this already. if not try here to purchase one:

I.SOFTWARE FOR YOUR MAC Definitions
Moto4lin: This program is a p2k editor (motorola phone editor) tool that runs on Mac OS X.
Moto4linConfigurator: This is a small app I wrote to help configure Moto4lin properly. It basically gets the correct usb settings needed to input into Moto4lin’s preferences. More on that later.
KopyMac: This program I wrote, will aid getting music to your TF card, it will also “clean” or in other words, make sure the files that are transfered to your DOS or Windows formatted TF card follow all of the rules and are clean of OS X Metadata, which sometimes messes up mp3 players.
II SOFTWARE FOR YOUR PHONE Definitions
MotoTunes Mobile: This Program is used to create itunes database files. Hacked versions of iTunes and phones that are not cingular branded will not mount (display) inside iTunes on your Mac. Mototunes runs from your phone, and will give iTunes access to all music placed on your phone’s memory card /mobile/audio section.
0002_0005.seem: This file is a seem file for your phone. It contains/enables the menu + 5 option on your phone to launch iTunes.
III. Software Downloads!
Phonefiles: Download this pack, it contains Moto4lin, Moto4linConfigurator, KopyMac, and the 0002_0005.seem file. I left out iTunes and MotoTunes as they are included in “macmotopacks” which you will learn about in the itunes guide later.
